Gedung Sate : Bandung’s White House

If  USA have a white house for the president,  So Bandung have Gedung Sate for the governor.  This Building  was built in the Hindia era in 1920 until 1924. Laying the first stone castle made by Johanna Catheria Coops’s eldest B Coops dan Petronella Roelofsen mayot at that’s time.

development of this building at least 2,000 of the 150 people who are the engraver, stone carver and wood engraver Cantonese Chinese origin assisted by the village of origin of rough Sekeloa, small hole Dago Village, Village and Village Cibarengkok who have previously Gandok use Gedong sirap  (campus ITB at this time) and Gedong Pakpak (Bandung City Hall at this time). In September 1924 the main building including the east wing (office PTT) and the library finish  successful.

Technically Gedung Sate stand above the land area of 27,990.859 m², area of 10,877.734 m² consists of Basement m² 3039.264, 4062.553 m² floor I, I floor terrace 212.976 m², Floor II 3023.796 m², terrace floor II 212,976 m², and the tower terrace 121 m² 205.169 m² tower.
Don’t say you had came to Bandung before you visit Gedung  Sate
