Pasupati, Bandung’s New Landmark

Before the year 2005, Gedung Sate just one and only bandung’s landmark, But now Pasteur-Surapati Bridge (pasupati) being the second landmark of Bandung After Gedung sate.

Pasupati is is the largest bridge in bandung. This Bridge connecting the north and east through the valley Cikapundung Bandung. 2.8 km in length and width of 30-60 m.This bridge use cable stayed construction.Bridge construction was financed through grant funds from the government of Kuwait. The construction aims to reduce traffic congestion. it is  began construction in June 2001 and inaugurated on June 25, 2005 at a cost of IDR 278 billion.

Bridge begins on the road on Surapati in the east and finished on Pasteur street in the west with some access in and out on the street Cihampelas, Cikapayang and Sukajadi

Every night there are a lot of people stopped for a moment, enjoying the breeze.

Gede bage stadium is the Persib’s stadium in future. This stadium construction is planned to be completed in 2011 or 2012. The stadium was built over an area of 25 hectares of land that located in gede bage and has a capacity of 40,000 seats.

Yup, the Grand National Hotel, which is building a lodge in the exclusive time in 1923 officially became PJKA Office (Line Railroad Company). The building is located at the corner of the transport at Perintis Kemerdekaan Street No. 5. The building was established in the year 1905-1915 (need 10 years to a very old building?! Hihihi .. :D )

Bandung which is famous as “PARIS VAN JAVA” or Paris located in Java island is the capital of Province West Java, Indonesia. That name of Bandung city which is also known as the City of Flowers is not a nonsense. Its location which is 791 m above sea surface has made Bandung as the cool-climate city and comfortable to be lived. The highest point of Bandung is in the north with 1050 m height above sea surface and the lowest point is in the south with 675m above sea surface height. The topology of northern Bandung area is relatively higher and more hilly compared to the southern Bandung which is flatter. Another uniqueness of this city is its location which is surrounded by mountains that cause Bandung seems like a basin. This can’t be apart from Bandung’s history which was a lake. …
